　安倍首相は日本時間18日朝、英国でロシアのプーチン大統領と会談し、両首脳はラブロフ・ロシア外相が今年秋に来日する事で合意しました。ラブロフ外相の来日は9月にサンクトペテルブルクで開かれるG20以降となる見通しで、事前に平和条約交渉にあたる次官級協議を行う方向で調整に入る事を申し合わせました。

Russian foreign minister to visit Japan

BELFAST (Jiji Press)--Japanese and Russian leaders agreed Monday that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Japan in the autumn this year.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Russian President Vladimir Putin reached the agreement during their meeting in Lough Erne in Northern Ireland on the sidelines of a Group of Eight summit meeting.

During their 40-minute talks on Monday, Abe and Putin agreed to arrange a bilateral subcabinet-level meeting on a peace treaty prior to Lavrov’s trip to Japan. The two leaders affirmed the G-8 major countries’ joint efforts to continue sending messages that they will not allow North Korea to become a nuclear-armed state.
