英国スタフォードシャー州にある遊園地のアトラクションに乗っていた11歳の少女が亡くなりました。Splash Canyonと呼ばれる6人乗りの円形の乗り物から池に落下したことが原因です。
記事の中で気になった単語は"tannoy"です。『Wisdom英和辞典第三版』(三省堂)を調べると「｟英商標｠ タンノイ ｟スピーカーシステム｠」と書かれておりました。商品名がそのままスピーカーを表す単語になったようです。事故が発生した乗り物では2013年にも落下事故が起きたようです。ただしこのときには，乗り物に乗っている最中に立ったことでバランスを崩したことが原因です。(Ume)
