ドコモ、携帯端末を４シリーズに刷新　冬春モデル22機種を発表

「ＮＴＴドコモは５日、11月中旬から来年３月にかけて発売する冬春モデルの携帯電話４シリーズ22機種を発表した。デザイン性にこだわった「ＳＴＹＬＥ」、映像や写真機能が充実した「ＰＲＩＭＥ」、薄型軽量の「ＳＭＡＲＴ」、スマートフォンなど高機能端末の「ＰＲＯ」の４シリーズで、会見した山田隆持社長は「お客様のライフスタイルを見つめ直し、今回のシリーズに一新した。」

アップル、第4四半期は「iPhone」を40％減産か--米調査

「FBR Capital MarketsのCraig Berger氏が米国時間11月3日に発表した調査リポートによると、Appleが第4四半期（10-12月期）に「iPhone 3G」の生産量を第3四半期より40％減少させていることが判明したという。Appleは第3四半期にiPhone 3Gを690万台販売したが、同期間の生産量は明らかになっていない。この点を踏まえると、このリポートからいくつかの可能性が浮かび上がってくる。」

Global broadband prices down 20 percent in 2008

「Prices for residential high-speed Internet service are down 20 percent globally from the start of the year, according to a British research firm.The biggest price drop is for DSL broadband over phone lines, with the average monthly price falling from nearly $67 in the first quarter to $53 in the third, according to the analyst firm, Point Topic.」

AT&T to try limits on monthly Internet traffic「AT&T Inc., the country's largest Internet service provider, is testing the idea of limiting the amount of data that subscribers can use each month.AT&T will initially apply the limits in Reno, Nev., and see about extending the practice elsewhere.」
