今日のテキスト PRESIDENT APOLOGIZES TO NATION

South Korea's President Park Geun-hye has apologized to her nation after admitting she received help from an acquaintance who is a private citizen. The person is allegedly involved in a financial scandal.
South Korean media said on Tuesday that Choi Soon-sil frequently gave Park advice on her speeches. Park later said at a news conference that Choi offered guidance during Park's presidential campaign and after she took office.
Park's office is also alleged to have indirectly pressured many major firms to donate money to help set up two foundations for Choi. The claim has drawn criticism from opposition lawmakers. They say relations between the office and Choi are opaque. Prosecutors are investigating how the foundations were established.
