今日のテキスト BUBBLE-ERA DISCO REOPENS

A legendary disco that made a comeback in Tokyo several years ago is now back in action in Nagoya. Maharaja is a symbol of Japan's decadent '80s nightlife scene.
The reborn disco is tapping into the nostalgic feelings of Japanese in their 40s and 50s. Many danced the night away to their favorite tunes.
Japan's bubble economy was at its most buoyant in the 1980s. Young women often danced on stages rising above the main floor. With about 60 clubs, including one in Hawaii, Maharaja was a sensation. But the disco balls stopped spinning after the bubble burst.
The new Maharaja features a spacious dance floor and even an elevated stage for dancers seeking the spotlight.
