Back when I was still starting out...

Here is a photo of when I was first trying out Macrobiotics. I got this great book, "Macrobiotic Start Book", which has very simple and straightforward macrobiotic recipes, with about 95% of them Asian dishes.

In this photo, the recipe I tried was a grilled tofu with red miso and ginger topping, sprinkled with aonori. This was also around the time when I started actually cooking renkon---now, I'm obsessed!
