UTAU v0.2.09 / ameya.ayame — human power intensive vocal-oid type tool

from “UTAU support page” (in Japanese)

On Dec 18, human vocal-oid tool “UTAU” was updated to v0.2.09.
UTAU , which mean “sing” in Japanese, was first released on early 2008, and after frequent updates, now it has some reputation in Japanese DTM scene (especially in nico nico video).

The main feature of UTAU is to assign short voice samples (phoneme) into MIDI phrase, and finally create complete voice track just sounds like a voical-oid's.
This process looks like rearrangement of rap phrase on beat slicer. If you have enough time and hundreds of samples, theoretically you can create any phrases! On UTAU, lyrics are used to select appropriate phoneme samples, and MIDI data is used to specify melody. This is a main difference of UTAU against beat re-arrangement.

Although UTAU isn't a VST plugin nor software instruments, but its influences cannot be just ignored in Japan, so I introduce it on here ...
