Pat Schories's engaging illustrations of the puppy Biscuit are modeled on her own dog. In addition to having illustrated all the Biscuit books, she is also the artist and author of He's Your Dog and Mouse Around. Ms. Schories lives in Hopewell Junction, New York.

これまで一話ずつの本を購入していましたが、これはお話がまとまってたくさん入っていて、毎週の読み聞かせにとっても良いです。
立派なハードカバーなので、持つ手が少々重いですが(^-^;

ビスケットが可愛い。

これでこのお値段はお買い得だと思います。
CD付のものをバラで買うか悩んだのですが、私はコストを選びました。

図書館でビスケットの本と出会ったのがきっかけです。

1歳だった息子に少しでも英語を触れさせたいなと思って、借りたところめちゃくちゃ食い付きが良かったので購入しました。

1歳の頃から読み続けています。この値段で10話ほど入っているので、お得です！

文章自体もほっこりするので、親もビスケットを読んでいてかわいいな〜と癒されます。英語はまだ理解してませんが、私の話していることを真似して楽しんでいます。

現在3歳になった息子ですが、まだまだ気に入っています。まだ舌足らずなので、真似してる時に上手く言えてないのもかわいい。

例えばビスケット、ウォントゥ、キスという文章がありますが、ビスケットうぉんちゅーちすになります。ドヤ顔で話すのでかわいいです。

ただ惜しいなと思うことがあります。10話全部まとめた本なので、子供が持ち運ぶには重すぎる。

図書館の本みたいに、1話ごとに薄っぺらい本になってるかと思ってました。全部まとめているので、届いた時、ぶあつ！！とびっくりしました。

落とした時、めちゃくちゃ痛いのでご注意を。内容は最高です。

　子犬の Biscuit を通じて，子どもが自分の生活を見直す内容です。主人公は女の子なので，男の子はあまり喜ばないかもしれません。

　子どもが英語嫌いにならないように，英語のそばに親がひらがなで文を添えてあげるといいかなと思います。その日の子どもの，希望に従って，日本語か英語かで読んであげるといいかと思います。そうすると将来英語好きになるような気がします。

　大人が多読学習用に読むにもいい本です。YL 0 レベルです。

I started buying the Biscuit books about 6 months ago, for my Grandson. He is 4, and could read the first one within minutes, having never read before. I have bought about 10 now. However, he takes them all home with him, and when he comes to stay at short notice doesn't always remember to bring them with him. So I was delighted to see this collection. It is really the pages from the original books bound together, rather than being designed as a whole, so the layout isn't consistent, but that doesn't detract from the book at all. Its also a much cheaper way to buy the books if you are new to the series. The stories are American, but I found the words used are in line with the keywords my grandson has in his reading bag. My grandson loves to read these stories himself, but for younger children where an adult is reading to a child, they do not sound stilted like so many reading scheme books. I recommend these to everyone, and several friends tell me their grandchildren love these books too.
