「可」の評価だったので、あまり期待はしていませんでしたが、書き込み・破れ・ひどい汚れもなくとてもきれいな本で、しかもリーズナブルな価格で購入できてとても満足です。確かに梱包は簡易でしたが、そのことによるトラブルはありませんでした。

This has been a family favorite for years. We loved reading to our children as they grew up, and now we love doing the same with our grandchildren.

This book is fun, looking back to the time before there were colors...then there was the great blueness, then yellow, and other colors. The story is fun, the characters engaging, and kids love it.

You won't go wrong with this one.

Eins der wenigen Kinderbücher meiner Tochter, welches ich nicht vergessen habe.
Es ist in Englisch und für den etwas fortgeschritteneren kleinen Leser geeignet. Es handelt davon, wie die Farben in die Welt kamen und was sie anrichteten, bis man sie richtig einzusetzen lernte.

Zitat:

The Wizard would pedal out on his blue bicycle
to look around at the wide, blue world.
He would say: "What a perfect day we are having." <<<

Habe mein ca Din A4 großes und relativ dünnes "Taschenbuch" im "akzeptablen" Zustand für gute 5,-€ über "Bear Books Germany" aus den USA kommen lassen und das war es allemal wert., auch wenn es einige Wochen unterwegs war.

Es sollte dringend eine Neuauflage dieses Büchleins geben, ich wette, dass es auch heute noch ein Renner wäre.

My daughter has such fond memories of my reading this to her as a child that I wanted to buy it for my grandson. The story is a simple one of how once upon a time the world was without colour. Then a wizard created something new which he called blue. All the neighbours loved it and wanted to have some; so he made more and they painted the whole world blue. At first they were happy but then they became very sad and depressed. So the wizard went back to his magic pot and created a new colour he called yellow. The story goes on like this through the colour spectrum, with considerable humour and very detailed pictures for conversation with a child. In the end all is well as the magic pot broke and all the colours at once were mixed up. I was delighted to be able to buy a copy (regretting that I'd thrown the original away of course). Highly recommended.

The book was bought as a present for someone who remembered it from their youth. They were absolutely delighted with it. On a practical level - it came well within the stated time frame, was well packed and in a far better condition than I expected. As a result we were both very happy with this seller. Thank you
