El libro tiene el tejuelo y los cuños de una biblioteca de Essex. No sé si es robado o si ha sido desechado por la biblioteca. Tiene una hoja cortada (¿era el sello de la biblioteca?). El libro ¿es robado? Me parece muy fuerte que vendan en Amazon un libro de una biblioteca. He solicitado devolución.

This is a book first published in 1949, according to the inside cover. But to me it looks much older. Their are lots of little historic examples from around the 1500s. Some copies of engravings, and alphabet printing plates in the back. It's got some ancient noted examples in script but not even much of that. Not much use for actually learning HOW to do them. Get one of the speedball textbook versions. That book has the alphabets with arrows showing stroke directions. This book does not have full alphabets with How to do them. It has some copies of alphabet printing plates in the end. That's about it.

The author writes like he may be Bourgeoisie aristocrat who set out to write a book of scripts but then got to talking to much to himself & as deadlines approach he stuck in a bunch of copied engravings, never actually teaching, or showing entire alphabets or examples created by himself. He writes with one long nose pointed upward in the air with his writing hand pinky up following the same direction. ("Remember always drink your tea, pinky up. Pinky up!" As he goes on and on, as if conversing with a class initially exited to learn to write beautifully, bored, never getting the chance because the guy never actually shows you how to write the alphabets.

In other words, this is a waste of shelf space. I regret buying it & won't buy another book here without good reviews.
