Logic: A Very Short Introduction (Very Short Introductions)
Graham Priest
Logic is often perceived as having little to do with the rest of philosophy, and even less to do with real life. In this lively and accessible introduction, Graham Priest shows how wrong this conception is. He explores the philosophical roots of the subject, explaining how modern formal logic deals with issues ranging from the existence of God and the reality of time to paradoxes of probability and decision theory. Along the way, the basics of formal logic are explained in simple, non-technical terms, showing that logic is a powerful and exciting part of modern philosophy.

A perfect book

It's absolutely incredible. How is it possible to teach a great amount of knowledge and understanding in a so short and accurate way. Moreover the approach of logic is so friendly that you can read it with pleasure from a to z.
Chapters 14 and 15 are very hard to understand because the text is very summarized. Each word is important. I had to read it many times and use other books to make sure I understood.
This book is both very condensed and very deep. You really need to reread it. I really like this style of books where every word is precious.

Nice into for logic

This book is really good, if you are interested in logic. Otherwise you have to read it slowly or some chapters even twice. All chapters are very short, sometime you feel it could have been explained in detail. I enjoyed it. Author provides examples which are easy to understand for beginners.

Very happy with this book. Have not read all of it yet, but from what I have read it is a very clear account of logic for beginners or those studying philosophy at the undergrad level.
