Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep (Inspirational) ハードカバー – 1996/1/1

(著)
'Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep' is a beautiful and moving poem written by an unknown author; it was left by a soldier killed in Northern Ireland to "all my loved ones". The poem gained national renown when it was read by the soldier's father on Remembrance Sunday some years later on the Bookworm TV programme.
This special edition of 'Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep', illustrated by Paul Saunders, is intended to be a lasting memorial for all who are mourning a loved one. Its message of comfort, hope and renewal has already brought consolation to hundreds of thousands, and it is one of the great inspirational poems that those suffering bereavement turn to.
The author of 'Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep' remains unknown, though several people have been forwarded as the author. These include Mary Elizabeth Frye and J.T.Wiggins, an Englishman who emigrated to the USA at the end of the nineteenth century.

レビュー
"When my son very sadly passed away, I found this poem on the internet and loved the words so much that I decided to read it after the funeral service. The congregation gathered outside the church and doves were released as I read the words. It was a beautiful experience on an unbearably sad day, so when I found this little book on Amazon I had to buy it. It is so beautifully illustrated and I frequently read it and think of my wonderful son.","When I saw this book, I thought what a lovely little treasure. The illustrations are very uplifting. It is food for the soul. Being a spiritual person I find this book a little piece of calm in times of sadness. The thought of losing someone who is very dear to you causes sadness, but hopefully the words and pictures in this book will help you to see that although your loved ones are no longer in the physical world they are never really far away from you. I hope this little book will be of great comfort to you in your time of loss.","I always have a copy of this book by my bed. It is only a small book but so uplifting and a source of great comfort when someone dies. For those times in life when you just don't know what to say, give this book.","In its own unique way, grapples with the agony of grief and presents a simple message of comfort and reassurance."

Having lost both of my parents, I felt a little alone. I have a daughter and son -in -law and two beautiful grand daughters, but sadly they live a good distance away.I was given a little card when my Father passed and the words on it were so meaningful. It was the verse.Do not stand at my grave and weep.I sometimes used to get the card out and read it.When I saw this book, I thought what a lovely little treasure. The Illustrations are very uplifting. It is food for the soul.Being a spiritual person I find this book a little piece of calm in times of sadness. The thought of losing someone who is very dear to you causes sadness, but hopefully the words and pictures in this book will help you to see that although your loved ones are no longer in the physical world they are never really far away from you.I hope this little book will be of great comfort to you in your time of loss.

I misunderstood, thinking this was a book of poems; it was a book of poem - singular.
