Useful Information
Including in the book are ten pieces of origami papers. These papers are for the purpose of practicing the basic folds only. To fold the models, you will need larger pieces of papers - try using an A4 sized paper to start off with.

Finally, some of the models are for beginners while some would require practice before arriving at the ideal results. For the beginners, my suggestion is after practicing the basic folds, try to complete the Borg Cube, Romulan Bird of Prey, Klingon Bird of Prey, Cardassian Galor-Class Warship and Type 6 Shuttle Craft first. Then you should be ready to try out one of the Enterprises, my suggestion is to try out the Enterprise-E first before moving onto the TOS and Class-A version. After that, you should have no problem in completing the rest. Any problems, e-mail me at my address listed above.

たかが折り紙、されど折り紙！
はっきり言って難しい！まずは子供の頃を思い出して折鶴の練習から(^^)
購入して届いた日にさっそくクリンゴンのバードオブプレイを折ってみましたが...

いろいろ挑戦してみたけれど、買ってすぐ作れたのはボーグキューブだけだった(^^;でも、しばらくしてからシャトルとかディファイアント、他にも作れるようになったけれど、写真のようなかっこいいのにならない(Ｔ-Ｔ)ヨレヨレ。子供と自分にはちょっと難しいけれど、作っている時はすっごくわくわく、楽しいよー。いっぱい練習したら、ほいほいっと、かっこいいの作れるようになるかも。

This is a very cute, but challenging book. It does not follow the most traditional origami "rules" (different shapes of paper, multi sheet models, etc). The author includes basic fold overviews, which I think is rather standard for origami books and discusses types of paper. The models pick up the best features of the Trek ships and look identifiable to Trek fans.

Skill: If you want to do this you'd have to be experienced with origami. Not good for somebody who's still mastering the instructions that come with origami paper.

Paper: Bigger is Better!!! To do these models, you should have some large paper to practice with. Minimum 8x8" square. You can do it with standard 6"x6", but you'd better have tweezers and patience.

Bottom line: Great for experienced folders who are Trek fans. Get big paper!
