クリスマス用に探して見つけた一冊です。

かわいくカラフルな絵、仕掛けが一杯の絵本に娘もすぐに気に入りました。

でも、早速ビリッと仕掛けをはがしちゃいました。

内容は心温まる物で、親子共々満足してます。

英文も大変読みやすいです。

手のひらサイズで、お出かけのお供に。
しかけもたくさんついています。
しかし、壊れやすいのが難点。
小さい子供には、仕掛けに微妙な力加減が必要なんてことは
分かるわけがない。
でも、可愛くてお気に入りです。

実は、１年前に息子の初めての絵本として購入しました。（当時三ヶ月）色がカラフルで、なんとも味わいのある絵が息子のお気に入りに。たくさんの仕掛けも、楽しさを倍増。クリスマスに限らず、いつも見たがりました。１年たった今でも、変わらずで、ボロボロになってしまったこの本を、引っぱりだしては読んでと持ってきます。息子をここまでひきつけるこの本は、恐るべしです。

ハードカバーの大き目の方を購入しました。娘がまだ小さいので破られるのが怖くて隠してましたが見つかってしまい、今ではかなりのお気に入りです。ボードブックではないので、紙が薄く、力いっぱい仕掛けを引っ張る娘にどきどきしながら遊ばせています。キラキラした絵の出る仕掛けやフラップが娘にはうれしいようです。絵本なのでしょうがないけど、もうちょっと丈夫だといいなあと思うので星四つです。

「農場のメイシーちゃん」に比べると仕掛けが少ないです。でも、２歳児にとっては壊さずに長く楽しめそう。仕掛けも面白いようですが、娘はページ毎に小鳥がどこにいるか探すのが楽しみな様子。時々４歳の息子（まだ文字は読めません）と一緒にページをめくって遊んでいます。

Eigentlich hätte ich keinen Stern bei der Bewertung gegeben... Das erhaltene Buch entsprach in keinster Weise dem beschriebenen Zustand "gebraucht- sehr gut". Das Buch scheint ursprünglich ein Exemplar aus einer öffentlichen Bibliothek gewesen zu sein und hat Flecken, Falten, kaputte Ecken und ist alles in allem einfach schmuddelig.
Schade, denn die Geschichte von Mausi ist an sich richtig toll!

I was skeptical that a full sized Maisy flap book could be reproduced as a miniature, but they actually pull it off. Every time you turn the page, there are 2 - 4 flaps to open, as well as the occasional pull tab. Open the oven to check the cookies, open Maisy's Christmas cards to see who they're from, or peek under the bed covers to find Panda -- they're very creative and not always conspicuous.

As other reviewers have noted, the focus is largely on Maisy buying, wrapping, baking and decorating for when her friends come to visit Christmas morning. Tallulah comes complete with a sparkly silver dress and panties that say "jingle bells" -- one of the more interesting flaps I've seen!

The paper is sturdy, but imho, the flaps tend towards the petite and are a bit on the fragile side -- I'm amazed my rough 2 yr old hasn't ripped any off yet. All in all, though, a thoroughly charming book conveniently sized for a stocking. My daughter *loves* it.
