DY Autocorrect?
I love this book & read a physical copy a few years ago. I just got the kindle edition & there are mistakes. It looks like whoever typed it up as an ebook, did so on a device with autocorrect. It's been awhile since I read the physical copy, but I don't remember seeing these mistakes. Any decent book editor would have caught them. I'd suggest that Amazon have the writer of the ebook copy go re-do their work on this one. All in all though, I do love this book & any authors & books like it. EX: Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, etc.

Spannende Geschichte

A Book You Will Be Able To Put Down
I originally bought this after reading on the internet that the author, Lewis Perdue, had accused Dan Brown of plagiarising this book in writing The Da Vinci Code. Having read both I can't see it myself. This is a thriller with a religious theme but the similarity ends there.
As thrillers go this book was OK but it didn't work as well as Dan Brown's books. The main protaganists in this book get ambushed more times than you can shake a stick at and it becomes tedious, as well as incredible. Some of the writing is stodgy and doesn't flow well. I could feel my attention wondering on numerous occasions. The central theme is interesting being about the role of women in religion and how that role has changed over the millennia however maybe the author should just write a straight-forward book about religion rather than dressing it up as a thriller - it would probably read better.
I would recommend this as beach reading, or something to pass the time but I wouldn't say that you must go out and buy it because it's brilliant because it isn't. It scrapes in as slightly better than average because of the interesting themes discussed in the book. This was the first Lewis Perdue book I've bought and it will be the last.

It is okay for a rainy day, but it follows a previously tried and tested formula
