Well, this is my first Amazon review and I write it with good reason. If you have any interest in photography; New York or just beautiful images this is the book for you. I discovered Vivienne's work on Facebook whilst researching New York with the intention of going there. Seeing Vivienne's pictures made me want to go, all the more. This book and Vivienne's photos in general have inspired me to take more photos and also to get a better camera. All her pictures have such good clarity and framing. I particularly love the snowy ones, they remind us that NY is not always hot and sunny and that it too is vulnerable to the elements. I did go to NY in August 2014, with my little point and shoot camera, and I got a glimpse of the energy there. Like Vivienne, I felt compelled to walk endlessly around the city, wondering what I would find around the next corner. Also I was surprised at the cost of this book; I thought it would cost a lot more: I live on a low budget so was really pleased that I could order it as a special Christmas present to myself. So obviously my advice is: get this book, it's awesome.

Je suis amoureuse de NYC même si je n'y ai jamais mis les pieds. Ce magnifique ouvrage me conforte dans l'amour que je porte à la Grosse Pomme.
Vivienne Gucwa est une photographe au talent énorme et ses photographies, que je qualifie d'oeuvre d'art, n'ont aucun mal à vous transporter au coeur de New York City, au grès du temps et des saisons, que ce soit dans les rues de Brooklyn, du Financial District ou au beau milieu de Central Park ou de Greenwich Village...
Je garde toujours ce livre près de moi et quand je rêve de New York, je prends aussitôt le livre dans mes mains pour le feuilleter et j'ai tout de suite la sensation de me retrouver au milieu de la ville qui ne dort jamais...
Si un jour j'ai la chance d'aller me promener dans les rues bouillonnantes de NYC, le seul "guide" qui m'accompagnera sera "NY Through The Lens" par la talentueuse Vivienne Gucwa.
