～パラノイアは完璧であり、幸せと楽しさは市民としての当然の義務です。
熱狂的ファンを持つパラノイアの待ちに待った新作。パラノイアはコンピューター様が管理／統括する”アルファコンプレックス”で完璧なコンピューターが与える指令をトラブルシューター（プレイヤー）が遂行していくSFタッチのテーブルトークで「１９８４」やその当時の冷戦下のアメリア～～の共産主義への過大恐怖に対する社会風刺が込められている。前版である１版（２版や５版など存在しませんよ、市民。）をこえる、より完璧な新版ではルールを見直してゲームのリズムを向上してあるほか、現行のアメリカやそのテロリストへの過大恐怖への痛烈な皮肉もふんだんに盛り込んである。
無論、ルールブックを読むのも、第一ページにあるアファコンプ～～レックスにおける市民使用許諾契約に同意しないのも反逆。～

Maybe it's silly to offer a review of a book that's out of print, but I'm enjoying reading it and think this book should never have gone out of print. Though Mongoose launched a subsequent (25th Anniversary) edition of Paranoia and ventured some interesting innovations in that line, the XP edition is where the game really hit its stride... which is why the 25th Anniversary edition is so closely based upon it (for the Troubleshooters book, at least).

A fun relaunch of a venerable game from the 80s, with more setting, a better core book, a more complex approach to the setting, and a simplified approach to characters. Though there's more rules and text in general than the original 1st and 2nd edition, I feel like it'd be smoother and faster in play. Can't wait to try it out.

This is a very fun RPG game. Great for one shot sessions. Imagine Logans Run mixed with Monty Python. You play a Clone in Alpha complex. You have six clones. You will need them .The computer that runs the complex is insane. You go on troubleshooting missions for the computer and try to have traitors arrested or killed. You are a traitor, as is everyone else on your team. You just don't know it yet ! It pits the players against each other and the DM runs them through scenarios. Its really fun. And goofy.
The computer is your friend. Hail the computer. Remember happiness is mandatory. If your not happy report for termination.
