I have a lot of McCoy Tyner CDS-I have some favorite CDS of him-Atlantis,Trios with late Tony Williams on drums in some cuts. McCoy has a unique style which I like. He is an excellent player-This also is one of my favorite CDS from him.He usually is surrounded by great players. On this cd Charles Tolliver-Flugelhorn on 2 tracks, Sonny Fortune-great player on Flute, soprano & alto sax, Calvin Hill on bass, Alphonse Mouzon on drums with Mtume on congos & percussion. Recorded 1972, I have been replacing lp's that have been played so much I needed to replace many. This is one of my personal favorites. Song 1 -NATIVE SONG @ 12:56 minutes, 2-THE NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND EYES @ 8:10 minutes, 3-SONG FOR MY LADY @ 7:31 Minutes; 4-A SILENT TEAR @ 4:25 minutes & 5: ESSENCE @11:15 minutes. It was given 4& 1/2 stars by Down Beat & this '72 recording was remastered in 1987. Look at his site on Amazon-Hard not to be biased when it's a favorite of mine
