Saw Bobby Caldwell for the first time on Soul Train, the American soul awards show. As a soul / motown fan for 50 years I was unaware of this artist, had to google the name to find out a bit more. what a voice ! this album is a mix of classics and "new" (to me) material, easy listening, pleasant surprise.
At this point, I declare all of the previous reviews to be my sentiments too. All I will venture for this cause is to say Caldwell sings holding within the elements of universal truth; and if your soul knows and holds truth to be sacred, Caldwell's talent on these renditions will bring you to a sense of singing a favorite hymn. I dedicate "I Give In" to everyone in Divinity Who Loves love ❤️
