I bought this album on vinyl when it first came out as I was going through my Roberta Flack phase. For a later album it shows that Flack still showed great creative flare. The songs stand out and are memorable. A brilliant album from an artist who didn't have a powerhouse voice, but could still make your spine tingle with her striking words of love and loss. Brilliant.
I have loved Roberta Flack for years now. The cd "Oasis" is the closest to perfection of any cd I have ever owned. I never fast forward to upcoming tracks. Every song is unique and has it's own particular hook. A totaly enjoyable disc filled with excitement and joy. "Oasis" has been a fave of mine for years, and I never tire of listening to it. " And So It Goes " in its reprise version is simply great. Quincy Jones produced this cd, what more can I say. Simply sit back, listen, and enjoy.
This lady can sing. She studied music and has been blessed to be able to write songs lyrics and music over and over. She is the best, learned so well in church as an organist and singing the church music. I am so glad I bought her CDs. They are the best ever. Thanks for the fast and good service. God bless, Ollie
