A new sound was emerging in British music. Acid House music had exploded and sampling and beats were taking over and influencing all music genres. In 1989 the Soul II Soul Soundsystem had introduced us to what was now possible for Soul & R&B and was a prelude to this classic smooth album for summer listening, and what a summer 1990 was. Hot and long the summer of 1990 was awash with fantastic new music from the likes of Soul II Soul, Loose Ends, Bassomatic, Inner City (89) and loads more. It was so hot that summer, so mellow and this Maxi Priest album captured that beautifully. It even guested Jazzie B on one track 'Peace Throughout The World'. It's a perfect listen from start to finish and a slice of history and of the time.
This CD better than previous Maxi Priest CD I bought. Great Soulful/Reggae music with a relaxing Tempo. Love Maxi Priest's voice. Great quality recording.
