　1－3は1971年8月録音の"A Different Drummer"より。
　4－7は1971年12月録音の"Rich In London"より。
　8－10は1972年8月録音の"Stick It"より。
　とにかく、パワーが売りのこのバンドらしい豪快なサウンドが聴けます。この時期の3枚からの安易なベスト盤という気もしますが、今のところ"Stick It"以外は手に入りませんしね・・・
　お気に入りは"Dancing Man"です。これは、ファンファーレとシンプルで親しみやすいテーマ以外はソロばっかりで、ベース＆ドラムが異様にホットで、ソリストとベース＆ドラムを聴かせるのに最高の曲です。楽譜も売ってるし、アマチュア・ビッグ・バンドをやっている人に勧めたい一曲（僕はやりかけて挫折しましたが）。あと"Space Shuttle"や"Sassy Strut"もメチャクチャかっこいいです。元気になります。まあ、いっぺん聴いてみて！

Time Beingの疾走感は半端ないですね。

７０年代に入ってからのアルバム３枚からピックアップした１０曲。
強烈なバディー節満載！
暴れるSAX、放たれるハイノート・トランペット、うねるベース！
より現代的になったバディーリッチオーケストラの魅力がこの１枚にあり。
ベイシーやエリントンに比べるとやや荒々しいかもしれないが、ガンガン演っているビックバンド好きには堪らないと思いますよ。

Just as everyone before me has stated, this cd rips 'n roars like crazy from beginning to end. But this is not really a new album but a compilation of tunes from three previously released cd's. The first three tunes are from "A Different Drummer"; the next four are from "Rich in London" (Live at Ronnie Scott's) and the last three selections are from "Stick It." So, if you already have these albums, it would be pointless to purchase this one.

From a purely technical standpoint no one can touch BR. I've never heard or seen anyone who can execute and drive a big band like he can. And you can hear why on this compilation.

My personal favorite is the title track, "Time Being" a superb extended tune written by Bill Holman. If you view and listen to the YuTube video of this track, Rich almost collapses from exhaustion at the end! Nevertheless, "Dancing Men" is so catchy that it continues to play in my head after listening to the whole cd. And I also like "Two Bass Hit."

Highly recommend for the kind of driving big band jazz/jazz rock you are not likely to find being performed nowadays. But just keep in mind, it is a compilation.

Unfortunately, Amazon has a very lazy policy of NOT stating when recordable media is either in this case, a CDR or other cases a DVR by not stating as such on their websites. Amazon should be clear as to what a customer is getting before ordering.

The music is, of course, excellent. And you get the original liner notes; albeit you can tell its been reprinted off someone's home computer printer. And unfortunately, the jewel case was busted up all over.

I've spoken up the ladder with Amazon about this issue before, but so far they have NOT changed their policy. So, it can be a crap shoot when ordering CDs, DVDs, etc. whether you'll receive a genuine pressed disc or a cheaper CDR/DVR. If it takes a week or so to receive your order, the chances are good that you'll be receiving a CDR/DVR and not a pressed disc. At least that has been my experience.

ArkivMusic.com manufactured and distributed this disc. Thanks to them for making it available. When you order this BR disc you get AutoRip and can download it to your computer and burn out as many copies as you want.
