The cd was ordered to replace an old copy which had been played to death. This title is very hard to find, and is not on any streaming service. So l was amazed when l found it on Amazon, especially at such a reasonable price. It’s perfect in every way.

I bought the twelve inch of Indian when it first came out and bought the album immediately after. I leant it to someone and never got it back. It took ages before I could replace it on CD. There are just a handful of albums I never get bored of and this is one.

I missed this the first time around, but am truly pleased to have caught it now. The smooth production belies it's humble 'recorded in a squat' origins and comparisons with Steely Dan and Prefab Sproutare not inappropriate.
