Sad to say as a Man fan this is pretty uninspired stuff. I expected with the track listings that this would reach the heights of say 'greasy truckers' or 'live at the rainbow'. It doesn't. The guitar interplay is at its worse basic 'spunk rock' or plain meandering 'c'mon' Its as if its a long tour and the band are tired. I really miss Clive Johns keyboard work and Martin Ace's solid bass framework. Terry Williams is as usual spot on but i found Deke Leonard's lead work very lacklustre. His solo on '7171-557' is a pale comparison to the BBC in concert with Iceberg and Mickie Jones follow up is strangely muted. The great excuse for a jam 'spunk rock' is trimmed right down and never catches fire and i always hated 'hard way to live' which is sub standard rocknroll and hardly fits into Man territory. A big let down.
