The music on this recording is top-notch, of course, it's Bird. But I was extremely disappointed when I removed the cd from the case - it's a CD-R, not a factory pressed audio disc.
Soaring solos start to finish. Bird, reportedly tired from travel and bunched record dates, plays with his trademark fire and flamboyance. Sonny Criss is no slouch and a very young Chet Baker comes knocking hard on Miles' and Dizzy's door. Rhythm section solid though, in bootleg tradition, not very audible. Still, you know they're there, and the whole set blazes.
