An amazing sound with a mix of dreams, drugs and drone. This album is purely unique and wonderful, with most songs reaching a very noisy and loud sound, although with that loudness comes a blend of smooth and beautiful dreamy pop. I would have a strong feeling that most people would start the album and just give up because of the first three minutes of LOUD feedback from Laner's guitar. This album is one you want to give a chance and listen to in whole. Challenge your ears, turn the volume knob up high. It will sound unbearable at first and tempt you to turn it down, but then the noise will sort of unify with your brain and just leave you in a euphoric state. Truly great stuff, as are all of their albums that follow this one. If you have never heard of Medicine, give the band a shot. This would be a great album to start on.
Who needs No Doubt when you have Medicine? One of the best—and most underrated—bands of the 90s. This album is beautifully repackaged by Brad Laner himself, with extra bonuses that real fans will most likely want to have.

I had a copy of this from the 90's and it's still a beautiful dirty distortion drenched dream scape. Listening to something like queen of tension requires a level of concentration. It's like a hammer that beats you each time. The remaster brings out additional details over the originals, but i'm not an audiofile and had no strong opinion over the original.
now for the extra tracks, there are a few interesting new songs that fit in nicely but are nothing special but the stripped down versions of the album tracks are also good and bring in extra dirt to good effect.
