ANGEL AIRから突如リイシューされたこのCD、ジャケはダサいですが中身は最高です。オクラ入りしたアルバム用の音源を中心とする未発表曲集CD。ここで初出の「Rｏｌｌ Oｎ」はなかなかの出来です。このあとメンバーを変え、Fｉｖｅ Dａｙ Wｅｅｋ Sｔｒａｗ Pｅｏｐｌｅ、さらにはAｎｄｒｏｍｅｄａに発展したそうです。このグループとにかくギターがヘヴィで、ベースもゴリゴリいっててカッコいいです。このCDは容易に手に入るので是非聴いてみて下さい。英サイケの重要グループ。

There are a few Attack compilations, none of which are complete. This is really frustrating as everything they recorded would just fit onto one CD. This particular one omits the Decca singles (so no "Colours Of My Mind" which is one of the best things they ever recorded, or the eccentric "Created By Clive") but it does include a number of demos recorded as The Attack turned into Andromeda - note that some of the tracks here also appear on an Angel Air compilation of Andromeda.

This release is as good as the other compilations with more emphasis on the heavy and less on the psych than the others. Either way The Attack are a criminally neglected band given how less talented 60s bands are praised to the skies nowadays.

This is really a great album of songs by the band, 'The Attack'! There were only two albums put out by them, actually the record company, since unfortunately there was not enough promotion done for this band. This album has a great selection of songs on it, ending with three great jams at the end, sounding somewhat reminiscent to early Jimmy Page lead-playing of Led Zeppelin, at least in my opinion. I would highly recommend this album to check out.

Could have done with more of the rock and less of the fey. While the former is pretty timeless the latter is very much of its era and hence dated.
An example of the sort of music you would hear on the ‘Underground Scene’ in the 60s, though this was an area in which the band never intended to be.
Little known at the time for various reasons, which was a pity as the rock element of their oeuvre was actually rather good.
