CD in very good state(condition), only a pity around a Korean unofficielle press concerns and not around the Kissing Spell orginal. one should have mentioned this in the description.
Being billed as "perhaps the second best folk-rock album ever" I decided to purchase this fine album and it certainly does have all the elements to make a classic album. But is it that good? The mixture of layers of vocals, distorted guitar, mandolin, cello and piano is very pleasing and it is clear that the musicianship is of a high level. The songs are fine and do add up to a great whole.
So yes, I chose well. But to me it certainly is not the towering giant in the world of folk-rock some claim it to be. One factor is the female voice, which does sound fine in some songs and rather strained in others. More importantly, it simply doesn't sound that unique to be hailed best or even second best album (the choosing of which being extremely difficult anyhow). If you're looking for something truly unique and classy in the folk-rock world there are several options, like Comus' "First Utterance" or COB's "Moyshe McStiff".
One should note that this album has a strong Christian feel to it (as is evident from the lyrics)- not that it bothers me, but it may bother you. Something to frown upon is the shoddy work of the person who has translated the original data to the cd booklet. There are several typing errors and more jarringly: a chorus line from one song is liberally sprinkled over several songs. Not the care and attention one would hope for!
