A difficult to find and pricy cd, if you can even find it! But what a joy for those Paul Williams & Roger Nichols fans. Look at the artists involved: The Monkees ("Someday Man"), Three Dog Night ("Out In the Country"), Diana Ross ("I Won't Last A Day Without You"), Willie Nelson ("Rainbow Connection"), Sergio Mendes & Brasil '77 ("So Many People"), Michelle Phillips, from the Mamas & the Papas ("No Love Today") from the film, "Mother, Jugs & Speed", Bill Medley ("We've Only Just Begun"), Claudine Longet ("It's Hard to Say Goodbye", which I believe, is the actual first song they wrote together!, Sweet Charles ("I Won't Last A Day Without You", produced by the Godfather himself, James Brown!!) and even more as there are a total of 23 selections altogether. Yes, some of the titles are represented two times (ie: "The Drifter" by Roger Nichols & the Small Circle of Friends and also by the Sandpipers). Some lesser known artists: the aforementioned Sweet Charles, Pisano & Ruff(?) contribute "Love So Fine". Way too many favorites: Bill Medley, The Sandpipers ("To Put Up With You"), Claudine Longet, Three Dog Night, Kris Kristofferson & Rita Coolidge ("I Never Had it So Good"). An essential cd to add to your collection if you enjoy any Williams/Nichols collaborations. But like I said, it's just so hard to find a copy of it! It was released in 2002 and is a Japanese import. And oh, the remastering was excellent, great sound!
