Outside the box and great are not often used together, but it fits in this case. While I admin to being a soft-core REM fan, I had never heard of Wilco or Jeff Tweedy. I bought the album entirely on the strength of the group's performance of "The Town that Lost its Grove Supply" on Letterman. They managed to pull off a song where the lyrics and melody tell different stories and exploit different emotions--a peppy, poppy song about compulsion and kidnapping. I don't see similarities between this and Wilco's work as other reviewers. They seem to have come up with their own approach.

Wilco and The Minus 5 have really pulled it together to make a great album with "Down With Wilco". You won't be disappointed and will like every song on the record.
