Mitch Easter's big guitar album! A lot of people prefer their other releases, but I just love this record. Great songs, good driving music, lots of guitars. Some people bemoan the big 80s drum sound, but it works for this batch of tunes, and Angie has some great vocals here too. I like all of Let's Active, but I keep coming back to this one.
Downloaded the title track based on an iTunes genius recommendation, loved the song and listened to some of the track samples and decided to take a chance on the CD. This CD is consistently excellent, loaded with plenty of catchy tunes. Never heard of this band in their day, as I was near the end of my music buying days in the late 80's, but as I revisit the music of that era, I am excited to find new and interesting groups like Let's Active. Give it a try - you will like it!
This one was an overlooked gem. Even by me. I wore out the grooves on Affot, Cypress and Big Plans back in the day but never heard this until ordering. I would've given the record 3 1/2 stars, overall but the liner notes more than made up for it. I picked it up for "Horizon" but there are several stellar tracks, really. I like "Night Train", especially.
