いやはや今聴いても新鮮です。バンドが出た時期がちょっと悪かったですね。ニューウエイブ全盛期だったのではないでしょうか。今聴くとかなりなギターロックバンドだったのがわかります。かっこいいすね。

ノーマン・グリーンバウムが'６９年にリリースし、全米３位、全英NO.1を記録した
「スピリット・イン・ザ・スカイ」のカヴァーを、全英３週連続NO.1('８６年間１５位)と大ヒット
させ、一躍有名になった。

サイケとグラム・ロック・サウンドで魅せたグループだが、アルバム全体を通して、
カヴァーの「スピリット・イン・ザ・スカイ」が突起出ていて、その他は印象に残る曲が
見当たらない。。

NO.1シングルがあるにもかかわらず、アルバムは初登場の全英２５位が最高位だった。。

Who is laughing now? I first got this album in the 80's, loved it then, and still love it now. This album is full of great tracks and harmonies. This is a much underated album in my opinion, but the thing is, this band is still going strong today, a good 35 years on. People said that they were a 1 hit wonder comedy band, but you listen to their back catalogue, and like I said, let's see who is laughing then.

I've read reviews of this album indicating that it wasn't very good, other than the hit song "Spirit In The Sky." I liked the album very much over all. There were a couple of weak tracks, most of it seemed to be '80's style psychedelia.

Had this album on cassette years ago. Missed it so bought it on CD. Still love it and it was a good price aswell.
