A brilliant debut from Giles Deyampert touted as a potential key player in the sound of 21st Century Soul. Think of many of your recent favourite releases in the electronic genre such as Koop, 4 Hero, Jazzanova and many others and then you get a feel for what Deyampert is delivering, acoustic Jazz and dazzling electronics in a very organic sounding manner. I can't stress enough that this really is an excellent debut that will immediately appeal to the ears. Surprisingly the weakest track on the album is the track billed as "this is the dance track...". Don't let that put you off though as there are many different influences that sound almost folksy at times such as on "Santiago Sands" to the excellent mid-tempo "Held him first" and the wonderfully warm instrumental "release". I promise you that you'll be listening to this for years to come.
