Amazonで購入
ずーっとピアノの音だけ揺れてて、最初、レコードプレーヤーが壊れたのかなぁとか思いましたが、他のレコードだと問題がないのでこの盤特有の物だと判断しました。
ちなみに、レコードで購入して同様の症状の人はいますか？
最初からこういう音源なんですかね？

当初はナイトクラブ周辺で生まれ、それっぽい向きの音だったと想像されるわけですが、ジャジーな演奏や躍動的なリズムは、２０００年代の耳で聴き直しした場合、もっと瀟洒でカジュアルな感じがする音になってる気もします。カフェとかでも流せそう。しかしボビー・コールのかすれたヴォーカルはよく聴き込むとそのうち印象変わってきますね。マフィアっぽいっていうか、歌った後の楽屋での闇がチラッと垣間見える暗さを感じさせるというか。実際、彼は歌っていたナイトクラブの近くで事故死したそうなんですが、ホントに事故なのかね？みたいな。そういうとこ含めてなんかこう、彼の声は芸の重みとか裏を感じさせていいんですよね。

Bobby Cole is a legendary super-singer's singer who was the favorite of many of those legendary greats including Frank Sinatra, ole' blue eyes tried to help this "wild child" but record companies were afraid of taking on this big of a gamble but in the end clearly their loss. Judy Garland while filming her legendary "The Judy Garland Show" at CBS hired Bobby Cole as her main man to arrange special material when she went from doing series shows to sophisticated concert format, at this point clearly Judy was at the peak of her amazing artistry and foolishly CBS let this show get away long before that should have happened. Enter Bobby Cole who did an amazing job arranging phenomenal medleys like "Kismet" marathon for Judy & Vic Damone standing as the greatest ever by any major singers, same show showcased Bobby Cole doing a riveting "From This Moment On" & his classic "The Lady's In Love With You", clearly Garland was mesmerized and when he accompanied Judy Garland doing a definitive "Poor Butterfly" it was clear Bobby Cole possessed talent that made him among the chosen few in the world of music. Recorded in the 60's, original "Point Of View" is a stunning portrait of a phenomenal artist who could sing and hit those ivories like nobody else. Opening with jazzy driving rocker "Status Quo" one can imagine how exciting it was experiencing Bobby Cole in those posh New York Jazz Clubs! Original gems shine showing an artist who should have had more exposure, this guy has so much talent it is shocking listening to this colorful set of originals that Bobby Cole was just enjoyed by legendary figures and New York Night Club audiences! Original "Point Of View" ends with sublime "No Difference At All" like subtitle "Jazz For Sunday Afternoon" as fine as a Four Seasons Brunch.
Forward to the nineties "I'm Growing Old" is a gritty soulful anthem that show Bobby Cole and his amazing artistry hit new and deeper heights, voice so rich and soulful incredible coming in to his own at this time Bobby Cole didn't receive deserved exposure, thankfully these illuminating nineties recordings show his talent knew no bounds and these glorious performances show one of the greatest legendary talents ever, Bravo to Bobby Cole!
