残念ながらオリジナルアルバムではなく過去音源やらの寄せ集め作品。
だが貴重な音源、デモ曲は必聴。
音質も良く特に難点は見当たらない。
フィアファクトリーのバートンが参加した曲もあるのでFFファンにも美味しい。
なお、shadow zoneのボートラに入ってたラモーンズのカバー「gimme gimme shock treatment」も収録されている。

static-xの中で、１stが大好きな方が多いと思いますが・・・（特に僕は）　２番目に良く聞くのがこの作品です。とりあえずカッコいいので　おススメです。ある意味当時のbestかな？

Turns out this product has a really cool feature where you can open it. Not only that, but there was a cd inside. I then went on to discover that the cd had sounds on it, which happened to be music.

This collection of demos and b-sides is just awesome. From really heavy screamo metal to trance-y evil disco, this is a great collection of previously unheard material from Static-X. Now that they've essentially disbanded, this is probably the only "fresh" "new" material we'll get from them if you hadn't already heard it.

Static-X have been a favorite band of mine since I first heard "Push It" and "I Am" from their debut Wisconsin Death Trip. Brutal guitars and vocals against a background of chemical beats sets the tone straight off. Some of the material on previous effort "Shadow Zone" was disappointing, but this makes up for it. "Anything But This" must be Static-X's heaviest track ever, and this has to be one of their heaviest albums. "Symptoms Of Mercy" is as old skool thrash as Static-X get and "Gimmie Gimmie Shock Treatment" (Rammones Cover) is a definate crowd pleaser for live shows! As for "The Ultimate Collection of Rarities", there are two notable absenties. 1)Static-X collaboration with Dead Prez to cover "Hip-Hop" on the "Loud Rocks" compilation and 2) Mephisto Odessy's remix of "Love Dump". That aside, this album is awesome!
