ＣＤ収録曲のクリップが、同じ順番でＤＶＤに２時間以上収められています。ＮＴＳＣ／リージョンフリーなので、一般的ＤＶＤプレーヤーで再生可能です。
ＭＴＶにのってイギリスの音楽がアメリカを席巻した1980年代前半、第２次ブリティッシュ・インベイジョンと呼ばれた時代を中心に、1970年末～1980年代中期までのスマッシュヒットを集めたもの。
映像もビデオクリップの基礎を築いたと言われる３監督、ラッセル・マルケイ（収録曲ではバグルス、デュラン・デュラン他）、ジュリアン・テンプル（デビッド・ボウイ、ABC、デキシー・ミッドナイト・ランナーズ他）、スティーブ・バロン（ヒューマン・リーグ他）の作品はもちろん収録。一連のポリスを手掛けたデレク・バービッジ、映像職人ゴドレー＆クレーム（ヴィサージ、ハービー・ハンコック）など語り出せば切りがありません。
ＤＶＤだけ単体発売でもよかった…と思うのはゼイタクでしょうか。しかし3000円ちょっとにプライスダウンした今、これはお買い得です。ＭＴＶヒッツがお好きな方は買って損はありません。

このセットは国内版もありますが、選曲が異なっているので注意が必要です。（タイトルやジャケットのデザインが違うのですぐに分かります）

輸入版のほうはイギリス度の高い選曲になってますが、曲やビデオのクオリティからみてこちらをお奨めします。

DVDに収録された音源をCD2枚でフォローしている構成で、DVDだけにするのか、もっとビデオクリップを増やしたほうが良かったんではないかという気がしますが、それでも選曲センスは他の同様なDVDと比べ非常に高く、結構満足できます。

This is another must have to just think you have your own collection of 80s songs that you can watch and hear as well. It makes you want to live in the 80's again and again. great to watch to have friends over. awesome 80s rules.

I may already have almost all such videos on different DVDs I own, but this is still an excellent compilation. The Video and Audio's quality, for most of them, are better than those same songs on my other DVDs. The DVD itself is more than 2 hours. Highly recommended to anyone who would like to explore more into the 80's pop/rock music.
