For those thinking about buying this, know that this is the most basic of basic kits. This is what my friends call a 0 grade kit, one made of cheap single color plastic where the entire thing is lacking much detail or definition, not to mention color. It has very few parts that actually move and those that do have an extremely limited movement radius. That being said with a good paint job these things could look pretty decent, the price is really good, and they are to scale with the standard 1/144 bandai gundam kit.
*This model is a No Grade model, meaning it's the lowest of the qualities available. Don't expect a miracle!*
The pieces came in four basic colors-- white, blue, red, and a tiny bit of yellow. Took roughly ten minutes to assemble and requires painting to complete. Bad mobility, but it was never intended to be a child's flying action figure that could survive a fall from a second-story window, it was meant to be posed and left for viewing. As such, I have had a hard time making it hold onto its arms, but everything snaps right back together-- no glue of any kind required (unless you just get really angry at it and want to). Posing can sometimes be... complicated, but it's the lowest grade of model and is to be expected.
It's great if you want to practice your model-painting skills or if you're a first-time model-doer. Personally, I think having a 5-inch toy death machine on the shelf is just as awesome as it comes, so I bought two from this series. This was a great first model and if you have any indication of moving up to the big boys, practice on the cheap little ones first!
It was cheap but that what i get when i pay less than $10 for it. The knees or elbows don’t bend. I wish I would have spent more and gotten a better one.
This item comes done like it shows when it's together. No details, cheap price, small. BUT THATS BECAUSE ITS A MODEL. A low grade one but these types of models are going to be custom painted by the buyer, I received mine today and put it together in less then 10 minutes. On the side of the box shows a front and back picture of the model once new paint is added for extra detail, below those pictures show the true model. Mine almost looks like the two photos with newly added paint. In fact there are paint markers made for the Gundam model kits for exactly this reason. It is not a play toy, just something you make, paint, and set up in a cool area or in a diorama. Overall this is a great buy for a first time model buyer.I would post a picture but there's no where to post one.
