I would agree with some of the other people reviewing this album... Zazen Boys are one of the more interesting bands I've heard lately and it's a shame they have no US distrobution at the moment. It's hard to pin down their sound, but I hear shades of Fugazi, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Zappa, Soundgarden, Mars Volta\At The Drive In, the Sea & Cake, the Gorillaz, and Janes Addiction. It's a cool mixture, however I have to take one star off due to their band name. It was a bad move to put "Boys" on their name. It's a lame thing to do and has already been done by: the Beach Boys, the Beastie Boys, the Soft Boys, the Pet Shop Boys, Boyz II Men, the Fat Boys, the Blind Boys of Alabama, the Oakridge Boys, the Geto Boys, the Bullet Boys, Los Lonely Boys, the Scud Mountain Boys, the Dead Boys, the Jerky Boys, and the Backstreet Boys. We do not need another "Boy" band, and this band should have an original name that fits their ecclectic sound. If they had asked me, I would've chosen Zazen and the Art of Needlepoint: Explorations into Slicing Goat Cheese with Lazer Beams and\or Crushing a Cinderblock with One's Eyelash Flutter. (And they could abbreviate their name ZAON:ESGCwLB.CC1zEF.)
