Marie daulneを中心とした、アカペラ集団。2ndです。楽器はほとんど使わず、全て「声」のみ。声が楽器の代わりです。そのヴォーカルスタイルはピグミーなどの、アフリカの部族的発声によるところが大きいらしい。彼女はベルギー人と、ザイール人のハーフだそうで、アフリカだけでなくヨーロッパ的な香りも随所に見られ、いい具合に融合されていると思う。スワヒリ語、アラブ語、マレー語、フランス語などで歌っています。どれがどれだか分かりませんが・・・。#4の「India」では口タブラ（口唱歌）に挑戦していますが、下手デスネ（笑）。いや、しょうがないか・・・。色んな国の言語や発声法を取り入れ、アイディア豊かに多彩なコーラスをポリフォニースタイルで聴かせる手法は単純に面白いです。ZAP MAMAのアルバムの中では一番好きなアルバムです。

My parents got this through that music club when I was a kid and though they weren't fans I refused to return it. 20+ years later my beloved CD finally showed enough wear I had to replace it. I'm so happy to have it back!

I gave this CD to a 9-year old who apparently appreciates the uniqueness of Zap Mama. Their music is optimistic and contagious. It was appreciated.
