Spewing darkness, filth and boiling spittle, the Agony Scene somehow put a harness on some truly spectacular energy and rage when they turned in this album.
Catchy, heavy, and dirty, there is a very "punk" feel running through this album, bolstered by their willingness to stray from formula. You think they can't put cowbell on a metalcore record? They can, and it's the blackest, grimiest cowbell you're ever likely to hear. Want singy bits that don't dilute the impact of the song? They're here and there, but certainly far from every chorus like some metalcore.
The guitars are great on this album, technical but catchy, somehow simultaneously complex and viscerally satisfying. The drumming is brilliant as well, really slamming home the punk/metal fusion they nailed so well here.
Scars of Your Disease is probably the best place to start, but really I love the whole album. Pick it up, and dive into the filthy metalcore underground!
Egal welches Album ich bisher von dieser Band gehört habe - alle drei - ich bin einfach nur begeistert. Harter Klang, klasse Riffs und einfach nur Schön. jedem zu empfehlen der auf ein bisschen mehr steht als Radiomusik
It's so vicious, you can't help but scream along. This dude howls with an absolutely dizzying fury that assures you GRITTY Metalcore is blasting through your sound system.
The drummer (who is my favorite talent here) is unique because his style is different and his patterns so finely tuned for the song, that I wish they would make a seven minute song of them just jammin' away. If you're interested in what I mean, get headphones, listen to "Scapegoat" (try in YouTube), CRANK IT, and then maybe you'll get it. It was the key track for me and everything about that song blew me FAR away. Total...Metalcore...Perfection.
Other stand-out tracks are: Scars Of Your Disease, Procession and Sacrifice. I don't want you to take my word for it...try it. I wouldn't call it a must-have, but hey, to each his own...right?
Uh, quick note: How can idiots think these guys are a "Christian Metal Band" simply because of their label? Get real. Association doesn't mean anything.
