期待を裏切らない、いや、期待を凌駕するスケールアップした
王道ＨＭがここにはあります。
スピードチューンは、相変わらず、とにかく疾走し、叫ぶ。
そして、荘厳なミドルチューンもあいまって、この作品は
至高のレベルに達しようとしているのではないでしょうか。
決して期待を裏切らない、王道ＨＭを聴きたい方は、是非！

'05年リリースの6thですかね。

このアルバムの場合、スピードチューンよりもむしろミドルテンポの曲があまりにも素晴らしい！
もはやプリーストとは比べる理由は全く無いですが、'ANGEL OF〜'が一部の曲を除いて期待したほどの出来ではなかったのに対し、こんなに素晴らしい曲をこれほど堂々と歌い上げることができるのはもはやはげちゃビンおじさんシーパーズしかいません。

'Seven Seals'〜'Evil Spell'の流れは素晴らしいし、'Diabolus'も近年稀に見る名曲ですが、'Question of Honour'〜'In Memory with you'の流れは圧巻の一言で、その究極の美しさと感動であっちゅうまにエクスタシーに達してしまいます（おっさんのエクスタシーなんて気持ち悪いの一言ですが、これしか表現しようがないんですわ）

随所に見られるツインギターの印象的なユニゾン・プレイも合わせてほんまに彼らは21世紀のメタル・ゴッドを名乗るに相応しい存在になったと勝手に思ってますが世間的にはどうなんですかね。僕は彼らの前で涙を流しながらひざまずき、新しいメタル・ゴッドの降臨を心の底から喜んでおりまする。

ラルフ・シーパース（Vo）＆マット・シナー（ｂ）率いる剛直パワー・メタル・バンドの通算６作目。

高品質だったものの、明らかに煮え切らない作品だった前作「DEVILS　GROUND」で個人的には正直見放しかけたが、友人のオススメでゲット。

確かに前作に比べ、スピード・チューンも増え、内容的にメリハリがついていて悪くない。ただやはり曲の出来にややばらつきが目立つかな。

ダイナミックなイントロを持つ＃１“Demons　And　Angels”でとりあえず掴みはＯＫ。

一押しは、ＰＶのオマケにも収録されているバンド史上屈指のスピード・チューン＃４“Evil　Spell”。

これはパワー・スピード・メロディの三拍子が揃った名曲。怒涛の勢いで攻撃的メロディを爆発させるこの曲は久々にバンドの本領発揮がされているのではないか。

また、これまでは上手いながらもパッとしなかったランディ・ブラック（Dr：元ANNIHILATOR）が、遂にはじけた感があり、前任者ではテク的に厳しかったと思われる曲もタイトかつテクニカルにこなしている点も見逃せない。

前述したように、曲にばらつきはあるものの、“Evil　Spell”の存在で、かなり印象は良い。

ただ、あともう１曲でいいからスピード・チューンが欲しかったかな。これがあれば、アルバムの流れもより締まったものになったと思われる。

まあ、ファンは買っても損はしないクオリティは保持している。

ドイツのハルフォード、ラルフ・シーパーズとマット・シナー率いる正統派メタルバンド。２００５年作。

やっぱ、単純に凄いや！この人たちは・・・

特にラルフの強烈なハルフォードタイプのVoスタイルには脱帽。

変わらずの方向性だが、当然これでいいんだ。

それでも、しっかりとアルバムの完成度はさらに前作を上回っている。

ただ単純にかっこいい正統派メタル。

今のハルフォードには困難なハイトーンが暴れまわっている。

　ドイツ出身の正統派メタルバンドPRIMAL　FEARはメタルファンの間では元ガンマ　レイのヴォーカル、ラルフ　シーパーズが在籍しているバンドでも名高いバンドであり、純メタルサウンドに拘っているバンドとしても知られている。そして2005年にリリースされたのが通算7枚目に当たる本作でもある「セヴン　シールズ」である。

　PRIMAL　FEARといえばまさに正統派メタルと言うに相応しい作品を制作していたが、全体的に本作はこれまで以上にメロディック要素を意識したかのような、エネルギッシュ且つメロディックなサウンドに仕上げている。これまで以上にメロディックに仕上がっているが彼等独特のメタル要素は健在だ。オープニングを飾る(１)は純メタル要素とメロディック要素が見事融合したかのようなエネルギッシュなパワーメタルナンバーと言うに相応しい。(２)や(４)は彼らしいメタルナンバーと言えよう。個人的に言うと、これまでのエネルギッシュなメタル要素を意思しつつ、完成度が高いメロディックなメタルサウンドに仕上げたことには素晴らしいと思うし、全体的に聴き応えがあるので、本作はまさにPRIMAL　FEARの傑作の一枚と言うに相応しい。本作はメタルファンだったら一度は聴くべきだろう！

Cd acquistato il 21 aprile, ricevuto il 29. Ottime le condizioni, pur trattandosi di un prodotto usato. Prezzo alto (9,57€), ma è di difficile reperibilità. Ottimo, come sempre, il giudizio sul venditore reBuy reCommerce GmbH IT. Per quanto riguarda la musica, i Primal Fear sono tra i massimi esponenti del power metal teutonico: riff granitici, melodie orecchiabili e l'inconfondibile voce di Ralf Scheepers. "Seven Seals" è uno dei miglior lavori della band tedesca. La versione acquistata è la limited edition che contiene, in aggiunta, due tracce extra: "The Union" (ottima, chissà perché non l'hanno inserita nella versione standard al posto della mediocre ed irritante "Carniwar") e "Higher Power" (buona). Il booklet contiene i testi. Stay Metal.

So as you may have noticed from reading other reviews for this album, that the band have changed up their style of bit from their previoud albums. Well, they have and it's not bad. In fact, I believe its a good move on their part. With their previous albums, they all had a Judas Priest "Painkiller" feel to them. Well, with this one they've branched out a bit and added some epic elements to their song writing. By epic elements I mean some minor orchestrations and whatnot. What this does is give the old generic Priest-sounding songs a bit more edge and differenciation. In this case, it's a good move for this band because it might get them out of the "Oh it's a Priest Clone band" critique. Does this album still have that Priest feel? Yeah, a bit but, for the most part, you can tell that Primal Fear is trying to change up their style a bit and I think it'll do'em good in the long run.

Let's just say that after hearing this album AFTER all the other ones, that I hope they continue with this style on their upcoming 2007 album. I just hope they go back to their more traditional cover-art. I hate these bland "seal" cover-arts. Every band out there now has done an album with cover-art like this recently.

I won't go over each song, because several other people already have, but I will say that there are no less than three nearly 8 minute songs on this album. That's a big change for Primal Fear whose songs only generally run in the 4 to 5 minute range. This allows them to be a bit more epic with long sections of nothing but guitar melodies which are very cool. Reminds me of some of Pagan's Mind songs, which also run in the 6 to 8 minute range.

Der wahre Fachmann kennt's: wehe, ein Sänger klingt so, wie irgendein sehr bekannter Name aus dem Metal-Geschäft. Da kann man spielen, was man will: man ist einfach ein Abklatsch! Neben den vielen angeblichen Metallica-Rip Offs, die zwar musikalisch einen ganz anderen Stil spielen, aber eben ein Rip Off sind, weil sich der Sänger in den Ohren mancher fatasievoller MEnschen irghendwie mal sekundenweise leicht nach einem verschnupften Hetfield anhört, so gelten Primal Fear auch trotz ihres eigenen Stils als Judas Priest-Kopie. Bitte??? Judas Priest haben von 1974 an regelmässig Alben herauzsgebracht, die von ständigen Stilwechseln geprägt waren. Was klang denn da so, wie Seven Seals? Rocka Rolla? Turbo? Womöglich "Painkiller" - ein wenig. Ok, sie sind Fans von Judas Priest, aber das sollte jeder anständige Metalfan sein. Man hört Einflüsse, sicher. Aber eine Kopie? Ah, da haben wir es: Primal Fear spielen einfach hochklassigen, eigentlich typisch deutschen Power Metal, und Ralph Scheepers hat das Glück, ein ähnlich starkes Gesangsorgan, wie Rob Halford zu haben. Punkt. Hier kann man auch genau so viele Einflüsse von Bands, wie Accept finden. So, nun zu Seven Seals. Also, das Album ist ein Klassiker! Hier ist alles drauf, was Power Metal schön macht: Speed Geballer (Evil Spell, Demons And Angels, Question Of Honor) rockige Hymnen (Rollercoaster, Seven Seals), richtige Midtempo-Hammer mit a-di-pösen Riffs und unwiderstehlichem Zwang, mitzugröhlen (Carniwar, All For One, The Immortal Ones), und natürlich die übliche Portion an Power-Balladeskem (In Memory, Diabolus). Dieses Album ist voller hochklassiger Kompositionen und klingt so, wie das, was andere Bands nach 15 Jahren Tätigkeit als Best Of rausbringen. P-E-R-F-E-K-T! Von Anfang bis Ende eine Wonne. Einige Thrash-Einflüße sind auch deutlich vorhanden. Insgesamt ist alles vorhanden: viel Abwechslung, von Songs bis ziemlich heftig bis wundervoll melancholisch, grosse Refrains, genialer Gesang, dicke Riffs, grandiose Soli, Melodien und Harmonien zum dahinschmelzen. Gibt es mehr zu sagen? Muß man mehr Worte verlieren? Nö! Selten ein Album aus den Metal_Subgenre gehört, dass näher an der Perfektion war. Ich könnte mir jetzt auch mehr Superlative ausdenken. Aber warum? Wer sich eine Mischung aus Painkiller (muahahaha), Balls To The Wall mitsamt Power-Speed-Metal am Rande des melodic Thrash vorstellen kann, und das interessant finde, sollte mal reinhören. Punto.
