I have been collecting the gold series of Motown for quite awhile and absolutely love them. I thought I had Smokey Robinson and The Miracles Gold until I saw this one. The cover is completely different from my first CD, so I didn't think anything of it. But, when I looked at the list of songs, I knew I had to have it. It contains the usual sets of songs we normally get on other CDs like "Shop Around, Tears Of A Clown, and Ooo Baby Baby", but I saw a few newer songs that I haven't heard in a very long time. Songs like "Ain't It Baby, Mighty Good Lovin', and Come On Do The Jerk", to name a few. It was worth getting and I can alternate between the two sets. Just love it.

It is impossible to add to the other reviewers comments. The man is a genius. Bob Dylan called him America`s only living poet, which coming from Dylan is construed as superior praise because it dont come cheap from Bob. The current debate on Amazon to find out the greatest soul singer of all time [ An impossible task if you ask me] has many stars in the mix such as Levi, Jackie, Marvin, Aretha etc but Smokey must be up there as well. This offering is a good overview and includes some of his & The Miracles early work. Worth indulging in. Great value.
