I'm not sure if one should be reviewing the songs on the CD or the whole package itself! If you know the movie, you'll know the songs! However, the movie did come out some time ago and so in terms of the case and insert for the CD, there probably isn't much demand for this soundtrack, and so it's probably a re-run and let's just say a number of corners were cut.

You may be interested to know that I couldn't find the whole of this CD in Spotify; on there it only has some of the tracks, hence why CD's will always be (probably) the best place to go for complete soundtracks.

This is a great soundtrack. This first song is a soft remake of "Just Like Heaven" that is actually very good and relaxing. The actual song is on the soundtrack also, which I can listen to when I feel nostalgic or want to dance around the room! The cd is a good mix of music from my past and some from the present. It's one of the few I can put on and let play from start to finish.

I bought this soundtrack album after watching this film on Sky Movies , largely in order to hear the Amos Lee track 'Colors' again and transfer it to my phone. When it arrived, I was pleased to discover that what, in the film, is a gorgeous but short musical interlude is, on the CD, a longer more complex, layered track which lasts for a glorious 3 mins and 16 seconds. It's hard to describe how good it is (without singing it on video review and I'm not brave enough for that - and I can't play the guitar either) so I suggest you try to watch the film and listen out for the track which plays near the end at what seems (at the time) to be a desparately sad moment. I will be checking out more of Amos Lee's work in the near future.

The rest of the film's soundtrack is not bad either. It has two great versions of the song 'Just Like Heaven' written by the Cure. The latter's version has always been a personal favourite and shows the genius of Robert Smith. Not only is he a gifted guitarist but he can write a great song. The lyrics are stunning and show both the romantic and eccentric sides of his personality. The other version is by Katie Melua who sings the song in her usual sweet way with an acoustic backing.

The other tracks on the album are pleasant too and it's refreshing to hear these songs, all with a ghostly theme, sang not by the original artists but by up and coming performers. I especially like the version of 'Spooky' by Imogen Heap of Frou Frou fame. The last 5 tracks are excellent instrumental interludes which remind you of critical moments in the film. All in all, well worth the money. The Amos Lee track alone is worth the money!

Thanks to this movie, I've been reintroduced to the group "The Cure"! A well-blended selection of songs for this feature film. My favorite selection is The Cure's "Just like Heaven", with Screamin' Jay Hawkins classic, "I put a spell on you" a close second!

Worthy buy...I rate this soundtrack...Four stars!
