映画を観て随分経ってから購入したので、こんなんだっけ？サントラ？って感じでした。けど、ウディアレンの高貴な世界観があるので良いです。それだけで充分です。

Très jolie BO, je conseille aux inconditionnels du film ou de Woody Allen en général , car elle transporte vraiment dans un autre monde, les airs d'opéra italien sont à tomber ( Enrico Caruso notamment ), on ressent toute la tension dramatique du film, et ce crépitement du disque dans l'enregistrement, c'est magique et ça rend ces chansons, du siècle passé, intemporelles...

Eine Zusammenstellung sehr schöner Opern-Arien, immer abwechselnd historische Aufnahmen von Caruso, dann aktuelle Aufnahmen in DDD-Qualität. Abwechslungsreich und schön, hört man einfach immer wieder gerne.

How many times do you pick up a sountrack and find it doesn't seem to bear a lot of relation to what you heard in the film? Yep, heaps of times. Not here though. If you have watched the film and enjoyed it and want a chunk of the music from it then this is a good buy.

Opera fans will know their own taste more than I, so a look at the track listing may seal the deal for the person who hasn't seen the film but is curious about the disc. Despite the age of some of the recordings the whole release hangs together well - as I said in my tag line this is really an inspired selection of tracks that seem made to follow on from one to the next.

Liner notes are basically non-existent it must be said, the booklet offering just a selection of shots from the film and the song titles and attendant credits. There is a note regarding the nature of the recordings of Enrico Caruso and the restoration of these tunes and the crackling that can be heard in them is actually a welcome novelty. It adds a flavour to the release that is quite marked and I'm glad it was done this way rather than just grabbing Bryn Terfel and saying 'here buddy, throw us a new version of this tune will ya?'...

As a method of being reminded of a memorable movie experience this is a good buy. For the non opera fan such as myself it's a fun way of having some lovely music in my collection I otherwise wouldn't have acquired.

Bande sonore féérique d'un film culte! Morceaux d'opéra de choix, dont certains sont de rares enregistrements datant d'un siècle (notamment ceux chantés par Enrico Caruso). Ces morceaux vous replongent dans le film si prenant, si délicieux et tellement immoral...
