Any artist that pays respect to the late great J Dilla I will have to check out. I actually caught wind of this album on Pandora and it had some smooth tracks that you can vibe to while cleaning the house or just need something to listen to when you need a escape from the normal everyday instrumental album you may have. I wish it was longer but you will not be disappointed at all. The whole album fills like you are right in the studio with them. You can see how every track was laid out and how they really were set out to make a solid album that will leave their album in your disc changer or ipod for years to come.
I can't believe what I'm hearing. The essence of Hip-Hop still exists, and it's a beautiful thing. I would recommend this for meditation (yes, meditation), just chillin' at home, the drive home from work, date music, you name it. The tributes are the best to me, and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is one song I just don't care for. I promise that if you are a 30-something that grew up listening to real hip hop (Not the crap that they are playing nowadays), you will not waste your money.
