Herb Alpert had a lasting influence on music and pop culture. The original Whipped Cream & Other Delights LP spent 8 weeks at #1 on the Billboard charts and more than two years in the Top 40, and earned three GRAMMY® awards–the title track even took on a life of its own as the theme song for The Dating Game. Now, with Whipped Cream & Other Delights Rewhipped, some of the artists he's influenced have created a fun and modern tribute to his landmark album. Rewhipped, indeed.

The artists involved include Thievery Corporation, Medeski Martin & Wood, John King, Mocean Worker, DJ Foosh, Camara Kambon, Anthony Marinelli and Ozomatli.

Taking things one step further is a new set of remixes. Those putting their hands are the faders include John King of the Dust Brothers, Mocean Worker, and Medeski, Martin & Wood. Alpert himself was an active participant in this project, adding some new trumpet solos amidst the snaky grooves and incessant beats. ラジオのテーマ曲で有名なHerb Alpert。

軽快なイージー・リスニング的ジャズも今の音へリミックスすると、楽曲の良さとあいまってクールなジャズ＆ラテン・ジャズなどに。

トランペットもなんだか、マイルスみたいにきこえる曲もあり、不思議です。

ボーカルものっかった、ラブ・ポーション#9　の格好良さはオススメです。。

Wer noch nie was von Herb Alpert gehört hat, findet mit dieser CD den Einstieg in die Tanzmusik der späten 60er. Big-Band-Sound rewhipped.
Ich mag diese Platte sehr.

Works great as background or foreground. This totally fun & funky interpretation of the 60's classic that does nothing other than pay sincere respect and homage to the original. You'll be hearing this at all the ultra-hip bars and restaurants. It sure brings back memories as a kid dancing with Dad in the den to the original, but yeah, I don't think he or his gen would "get" this.

I always give TJB 5 stars. I know some of the recordings may not be as good or you may not like the little changes you may hear from recording to recording but they still were TJB.
