Fragile、Our Truth、What I See、Closer等良い感じの曲が収録されていて中々なのだが、全体的にミッドテンポの曲ばかりで速い曲は皆無なので、ダレるかな(-.-)

今後ブラストビート等を導入した曲もあるとメリハリがあって良いと思うのだが…

あと相変わらず男Ｖｏがイマイチな感じ・・・

でも時々聴きたくなる！

男女によるツイン・ヴォーカルにそこそこヘヴィなプロダクション、アラビア音階などを持ち込んだ神秘的な雰囲気が特徴だけど…正直、自分にはピンと来ない音だった。

別にヘヴィな音でプレイしなくても良いというか、そうしたヘヴィな演奏自体が、があくまで装飾に過ぎない感じがして「この人達は別にヘヴィ、ハードな音が好きなわけじゃないのでは…？」とも思える。

ポップス・ファン向きかもね。

ゴシックメタルバンド、Lacuna Coilの４th。

甘美な美しい女性ヴォーカルと、荒々しい男性ヴォーカルによるツインヴォーカル。

今作は前作の流れを含みながらも、

よりヘヴィロック要素を強め、そこに中東的なメロディが絡む。

よりダイナミックになった音楽性は、大衆性があり、

初めて聴く人にもお薦め。

「ツインヴォーカル＋ゴシック+ヘヴィロック」ということで、

EvanescenceやAdemaが好きな人には薦めてみたい１枚。

逆に、（私のような）2nd「Unleashed Memories」のような

スマートなユーロプップとゴシックの融合的なものを

このバンドに求める人にとっては、少々肩透かしをくらう可能性も。

しかし、自身の基本的なスタイルは一貫しているため、

今までのファンも聴いてみる価値は非常に高い１枚であります。

ラクーナは伊出身の華があるバンドです。サウンドにも中近東〜欧州的な異国情緒が溢れ、男女混声メタルバンドに多い美声×デスボイスではなく、聴きやすくバランスの良い作風に好感が持てます。華やかかつ退廃的。ラムシュタインがドイツらしい、リンキンパークがアメリカらしいなら、ラクーナはイタリアらしい。エンハンストでPVも観れるのでお勧めです。

イタリアのゴシックメタルバンド、ラクーナ・コイルの4th。2006作
今やアメリカでのブレイクから世界的に人気となったこのバンドだが、
それは本作での成功が大きいだろう。初期の頃よりもサウンドはずっとモダン化し、
EVANESCENCE的なヘヴィロック感触を自身のスタイルに上手く取り入れることで
よりメジャー感のある明快な力強さが音に宿っている。男女ヴォーカルの掛け合いも
本作ではより自然に融合していて、ときにクリスティーナ嬢の美しい歌声で
しっとりと聴かせたりもする。ギターリフなどにアラビックなメロディを持ち込んだことも
ミステリアスな雰囲気を増幅させていて、音にはこれまで以上にスケール感がある。
個人的には前作「Comalies」の、ゆったりとした浮遊感が好きなのだが。

Sono un fan accanito dei Lacuna Coil e aspettavo l'occasione per avere tutti i loro cd. A 11 euro ognuno non ho saputo resistere. Spedizione ed imballo perfetti.

When I was 15 years old, underground music was a very new thing to me. I had gotten into bands as diverse as within temptation (who I now dislike for being to camp), funeral for a friend (who I still adore), HIM (a band I now find to be decidedly average), and lacuna coil.
I bought this album having heard little of there earlier stuff, the day it came out. I went to my local CD store and immediately I could tell I had in my hands a record that was going to be very special to me. I have been brought up as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and because of this religion is very important in my life. But at that time I was confused by whether I believed my religion was true.
Now you might be wondering how this relates to this album, but hang on there please! Before this record came out, I read a track by track preview in rock sound. I was delighted to note that the attractive Cristina Scabbia was more than just a pretty face. Her bands latest record dealt with themes of religion and faith in a society wrapped up in materialistic desires! Suffice to say I was and am a very complicated youth!
When I read the lyrics at first, I was disappointed. They made little sense. But the music was awe-inspiring. Sure, the riffs and the bass were down tuned and faintly nu-metal, but the song-writing was spectacular. 'our truth' is one of my very favourite songs, even now in 2009, and songs like the haunting 'In Visible Light', the awesome beats and thunderous energy of 'Fragments Of Faith' and the mesmerizing intro 'You Create' that slowly morphs into the killer 'What I See'. As I took in the emotion, the structure and the depth of the music, I soon found myself able to interpret the lyrics. 'What I See' raised the question of why do we die? This is a very big question within my religion. because I asked about the issues raised by this record, such as is there a 'higher ground' as mentioned in the pop-tastic melody of 'Closer', is there a reason to keep on searching as mentioned in 'within me' and does life really have to be fragile as raised in the song, erm, 'Fragile?
I asked my parents these questions, and to my surprise I found the answers from the bible. The actual holy scriptures. Thanks to this album I found the meaning of life. It didn't answer my questions, but it raised them.
They are my favourite band in the whole world. You can say this is a rubbish review, but the best music reflects the inner being, provokes thoughts and forges a new attitude. This album for a while did just that but now my religion does that instead?
