I'm a translator who uses keyboards all day long most days. I'm not picky about many things, but I am very picky about keyboards because it affects my work efficiency and health.
I don't like mushy/soft keyboards as they tire the fingers and slow typing down, and I don't like totally light, hair-trigger keyboards that emit clacking noises. This keyboard is a perfect balance between those extremes, light keys with a tiny bit of consistent resistance and not particularly loud clicking noise.
Moreover, this keyboard layout positions the numerical keyboard close to the letter keys, so it's easier to use the numerical keyboard to move the cursor around in MS Word, etc.
Furthermore, it's not expensive, and it lasts a long time.
It's hard to evaluate a keyboard on the Internet, but I have used many keyboards before and since discovering this one, and I will stick with it until they phase it out... When purchasing additional ones recently Amazon told me that there is a new version of this keyboard available, which made me worry that they might be changing characteristics of the new version, so I purchased a couple of additional extra ones so that I don't have to worry.
