This album consists of 6 songs with reggaeton artists and 4 without. I own alot of reggaeton and some salsa. I have heard alot of examples of salsa and reggaeton mixed in songs and this album does it very well. With some salsa artists, they don't give the reggaeton artists a good beat to flow to and the end result is uneven. In the worse examples the songs change from a salsa beat to a boring monotonous drone the reggaeton artist raps over that doesn't sound good. In the best examples the reggaeton flows over a salsa beat.
Andy Montanez's album has songs that change in tempo, incorporate piano, bass, heavy percusion & back up singers with a danceable salsa beat, his music goes very well with the reggaeton and they mostly rap over salsa beats. The songs that are just salsa are nice too. Especially Parece Lluvia. Alot of salsa artists will do some slow songs, "baladas" which are slow and "boleros" which are even slower. This album doesn't have any, its very upbeat. The songs with Daddy Yankee, Voltio and John Eric sound really good.
