Don't be fooled by the "various artists" credited as performing on this soundtrack: the CD actually has a rather uniform tone, and mercifully it's a lovely one. Composer Mychael Danna is paired with the Denver band DeVotchKa, who perform his score and offer a few tunes of their own. Making excellent use of strings, tuba, and squeezebox, they set a mood that echoes the movie's warmly idiosyncratic one. On top of that, it's hard not to like DeVotchKa's singer Nick Urata, whose high-lonesome croon falls somewhere between Roy Orbison and the Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt. Sensitive indie troubadour Sufjan Stevens contributes two wonderful songs that display his usual flair for clever arrangements, especially "No Man's Land." Wait, did I say "uniform tone"? A pair of uptempo dance numbers interrupt the flow toward the end: Tony Tisdale's "Catwalkin'" and a remix of Rick James's classic "Superfreak"--the effect of that song suddenly barging in is akin to hearing Jamiroquai's "Canned Heat" in Napoleon Dynamite. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

絶妙のスコア＆ソング集！！

インディーズ映画ながらも全米で大ヒットした「リトル・ミス・サンシャイン」のスコア＆歌曲集。

スコアを担当しているのは「カポーティ」や「17歳のカルテ」で知られるマイケル・ダンナ。
そして挿入歌のメインを飾っているのがDeVotchKa！！
既発売のアルバムからの提供曲がほとんどですが、"Till the End of Time"が書き下ろしの新曲で
名曲 "How It Ends"がシメを飾っていて、泣けます。

映画の雰囲気を的確に表わしたアルバムジャケットも秀逸ですし、
　（諸事情あってワゴンに走って乗りこむしかない！）
故リック・ジェームスの " Superfreak"のリミックスも心地よく、いずれにせよ「買って損なし」の１枚です。

映画自体が素晴らしかったし、それはこのサウンドトラックだったからかな？とも思うけど、聞いているだけで映画のシーンを思い出すし、音楽もいい曲ばかりです。

この曲はSpotifyでも聴けずAmazonMusicでも買えず途方にくれていた
。CDも廃盤になっていて…でも、中古を買うその手があった！
盤はしっかり傷だらけだったけど音飛びはしなかったので返品はしてない！
これらのキズで美品だとは言わせないね、言葉には気をつけてほしい。
こういう商売は正直であることも大切だと思う。

Le dán a la película un ritmo y sentido indie que te hace

whether you ascribe the genre to be post-industrial synth-pop or ambient textured pop, the songs have zing, with enough lyrical depth (in a philosophical postmodernist way) to warrant additional time. To fit the continued evolving nature of the nexus of culture, finance, and Art, I purchased the soundtrack while the movie was still being released, and as yet have not actually watched the film. The principal reason was that one of the songs is by Sufjan Stevens. If you've gotten this far in the review, and don't recognize his name, start clicking / downloading / listening because his music fits the present post-tense in the only way music can.

I wasn't able to pick this disc up here in U.K.stores so I stuck out my neck and ordered it from the States.
I had been impressed by the selection of music when we watched the movie. It was worth the risk. The music is beautiful,and quite moving. Sufjans' song blend really well with the original score and suprisingly there is a uniqueness to each track making them all memorable. Worth every penny ( or cent ).
